Commission for Solaire Records

I’m very excited to share the results of my commission for Solaire Records. Dirk Fischer, one of the founders, contacted me about drawing portraits for the upcoming release of the music of Erik Lotichius, played by Ralf van Raat. Titled Anaitalrax, the record is available now for purchase.

I drew portraits of Erik and Ralf, working from photographs, and the designer Rutger Zuydervelt assembled it into a beautiful 2 CD package with a 44 page book. Liner notes were written by Tobias Fischer. The photo of Erik was a pretty high contrast black and white, and the one of Ralf was a 3/4 view, so both presented their own challenges. As a music fan and record collector, it was special to be part of the process. Thanks to my dear pals Jeffrey and Shelley Roden for recommending me to Solaire Records.
